Detection and troubleshooting methods for rolling bearing matching faults

The small internal clearance of bearings or poor design and manufacturing accuracy of components are the main reasons for the high operating temperature of rolling bearings, in order to facilitate the installation of fan equipment; Dismantling and maintenance. Generally, bearing seat bearings with tight sleeve bearing cone hole inner ring matching are used in design. However, problems can also occur due to negligence in installation procedures, especially in the adjustment of appropriate clearances.

Detection and troubleshooting methods for rolling bearing matching faults:

(1) Inherent noise:

The raceway sound, as well as various bearing and rolling friction sounds, is an inherent sound of rolling bearings. The raceway sound is generated by the elastic characteristics of the rolling element in contact with the raceway. When the rolling bearing rotates, the rolling element rolls on the raceway and produces a continuous and worldly sound; Abnormal rolling friction sounds can produce uncomfortable metal friction abnormal sounds such as "creaking, creaking", which are not produced when smooth and in good condition. Therefore, it is not a problem under normal conditions, as long as the noise increases, attention should be paid.

(2) Noise related to bearing manufacturing: This includes stick frame noise and chatter. Stick frame noise mainly occurs in ball bearings and bearings. When the rolling bearing rotates, it produces sound due to the vibration of the stick frame and the collision between the stick frame and the rolling element. This kind of sound has periodicity, and vibrato (various bearings) is a sound with a certain frequency, which is caused by the vibration caused by the large waviness on the raceway surface. This phenomenon is a common problem, and we need to pay more attention to it in the future.

(3) Noise caused by improper use: There are various types of bearings. When the surface of the rolling bearing raceway or rolling element is damaged, pitted, or rusted, it will produce noise and vibration with a certain period. When dust invades the bearing during operation, it will produce dirt noise. This type of noise is non periodic, also accompanied by vibration, and its sound intensity is not fixed, sometimes absent.

(4) When handling, remove the locking sleeve and readjust the fit tightness between the shaft and the inner ring. After replacing the bearing, take a clearance of 0.10mm. After reinstallation, restart the fan, and the bearing vibration value and operating temperature have returned to normal.

The internal clearance of the bearing is too small. The operating temperature rises rapidly. The fit between the tapered hole of the bearing inner ring and the locking sleeve is too loose, and the bearing is prone to short-term failure and burning due to loose fitting surface. As for large bearings, sometimes in order to avoid installation and disassembly difficulties, the method of fitting the clearance between the rings that bear rotating loads is also adopted. In this case, the shaft should be made of hard material, with a carefully machined surface and sufficient lubricant added to prevent damage caused by slipping to a greater extent.
